“ Our journey with Bek began shortly after Stu proposed. He had made a grand gesture, spoiling me with a romantic week that culminated in him down on one knee on a jetty at Bruny Island, on the morning of my fortieth birthday. In the moments that followed we looked across the water to Satellite Island and decided it would be the perfect place for us to get married.

A year or two earlier, Bek had put out a call on social media, looking for a couple who wanted to get married on Satellite Island. When we started researching our idea, we happened upon this old post and immediately got in touch. Many months of conversation ensued. From the outset Bek was knowledgeable, passionate and incredibly thorough. Her commitment and attention to detail was evident throughout the process. From the first time we spoke Bek’s sincerity shone through.

When the day finally came, we could not have asked for more. We had the most incredible day and we felt like the luckiest two people on earth. Bek and Paul worked tirelessly to ensure that everything went smoothly and looked incredible. They helped to create a beautiful relaxed atmosphere which was exactly what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble, including sourcing a vintage high chair for our youngest son, which Bek’s children had used in years gone by, and comforting him with a bottle when he became overwhelmed during the ceremony.


Bek has an amazing eye for detail and impeccable taste which is evident in everything she creates. She made the most divine floral wristbands for our Mothers and decorated the island with my favourite peonies and stunning roses. Our feasting table featured personalised place cards, handwritten in Bek’s beautiful calligraphy, combined with rustic driftwood and other elements from the sea.


After the formalities, Bek personally poured and delivered delicious gin and tonics to Last Glimpse Point, the most idyllic location on the island to take in the perfect sunset that Mother Nature has delivered for us. Paul went in search of my second dress, stashed into my luggage on a whim and forgotten, and delivered it in perfect time to glimmer in the last light of the day. These are moments we will treasure forever.

Our day was intimate, highly personalised and romantic. It was everything we wanted and we will forever be grateful to Bek and Paul for turning our romantic dream into such a beautiful reality. “
